Lua implementation well underway
TTPotM: Coming Home » Devlog
The game engine was written in JavaScript leveraging everything html5 and css have to offer to handle input, graphics, sound and animations. Because there are still a lot of quirks going from platform to platform, I decided to port my engine to Lua with LÖVE.
Why Lua? Well, it is very similar to JavaScript and with its minimal approach it is very easy to keep the design of the engine simple, compact and readable. It is also used as a scripting language in many engines and I wanted to try it out anyway. It will be easy to port it to all desktop and mobile platforms.
In the meantime I can work on writing the next episodes and produce concept art on my new Remarkable 2.
